Group leader
Dr. Yanan Gao was born in Tangshan, Hebei, in 1975. He studied Chemistry at the Shandong University, where he received his PhD in 2005 with Prof. Gaoyong Zhang. During his PhD program, he did the joint PhD research in the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, under the supervisor of Prof. Buxing Han in Beijing. From 2006 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the MPI in Germany, the University of Nebraska, the University of Akron in USA and then the University of York in the UK. In Sep 2011, he joined the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a group leader of China Ionic Liquid Laboratory (CHILL). +more

  About Us  

China Ionic Liquids Laboratory (CHILL) was initiated as joint laboratory by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Queens University Ionic Liquids Laboratory (QUILL) with the concerted efforts of both Prof. Xinhe Bao and Prof. Ken Seddon on 15th Nov 2006. CHILL started officially with the appointment of Prof. Dr. Urs Welz-Biermann in January 2008....
